Augusta Aquatics Diving Center

Josiah took to the high dive and Malachi laid claim to the low dive not to be intimidated by Dakota or Josiah. Mom's in agreement with Malachi ... she doesn't do high dives either!

New Friends!!

We're at Heritage RV Park and have the most wonderful neighbors!  God is so faithful in providing friendship/family as we travel on this journey.  The boys instantly hit it off with Dakota (8 yo - His Bday is the day after mine!)

Madison Stopover

We stopped at a little campground along side the road in Madison on our way to Augusta GA. We were in a carivan of 3 pickup/rigs and mom in the van. Mom stopped to go to the restroom and check her van as it was acting up and every one else went on as she could catch up faster in the van. Needless to say ... mom's Tom-Tom (GPS) took her a different route than everyone else so she ended up ... 30 miles further down the road even with her rest stop and having to drive 45 - 55 mph ... when Dad called to let her know where they had found to stop. It then took another 20 miles to find an exit to turn around on to head back. She drove 80 extra miles with having to go back. Here's what the guys did while she was in route!

Riverskate ... Is there anything else?

Albany GA is ... Riverskate Thanks to Mr. Jimmy and the crew all going out to eat at a local pub ... we found the skate park in Albany ... and that was our life for the rest of our stay. We met some wonderful people with unique stories besides getting to know the Hale Family who run the skate park.

Wordle!

My great discovery today is … Wordle! What a great thing to play around with or you need a break to be able to refresh and refocus on finding God’s will in your day. Go check it out. It’s not hard to be creative with this one.

On the road again ...

This motion sick mom was not looking forward to the 1-1/2 hour trip to Perry (Bolden's RV Park) to pick up my van … but it had to be done.  And as always, God blessed me in spite of myself.  (Go figure!)  Randy dropped us off and headed back to get ready for his early start Sunday morning.  The boys and I stayed to visit with all of our friends and ended up staying for an amazing cook out and games.  What a great time to be able to minister and be ministered to by our numerous friends in individual segments that only God could have orchestrated.    Just more proof of how much He loves us and provides for ALL our needs!

God's Protection - Carlisle Tires Strikes

Thanks for the prayers! This is what we found when we arrived at Albany RV Park in Albany GA. All day I had an uneasy feeling and thus ended up praying most of the way ... despite being very car sick! God kept us safe in our travels to our new location. PTL!! If we only had the funds to replace all the tires on our rig but will have to trust for God's protection until we can get the Carlisle Tires off.

Family Week

Grandpa's surgery got cancelled this week so it's all about family and spending time together! This week has been a much needed week of pure family time. The world, daily living and our personal choices takes such a heavy toll on each of our daily lives and especially on our families. What a special gift that we were able to take some time and unwind to refocus on our family and God’s will. It had the added blessing of having limited phone signal. Thus, words seem inappropriate and I’ll just let the pictures share our experience. Pictures are definitely better than words! Enjoy ... we did.

Finally ... a hot tub!!

We stopped at a KOA in Manchester TN ... the dogs were happy with their "resort" play place. The guys loved the "cool" pool with slide and fountain. Dad even got in to the slide action! Mom was ecstatic because she finally ... got to stay at a place with a hot tub. Which was great news considering how car sick she has been. Mr. Darrell (the fun camp host from North Pole Alaska) even had an impromptu outdoor movie where we watched Alvin & The Chipmunks on the side of a barn. Even Frisco & Molly got to come ... until the hand feed deer started coming up and then Molly got too excited and Mom took her home. All in all it was a good overnight stop on our way to the next job in Albany GA.

July 5th Celebration!

The boys were worried about not getting to set off fireworks … yet again God knew and had it all worked out way in advance. We were blessed by being invited to come fellowship, eat and light the sky outside Charlotte TN at the home of our dear friends, Jay & Joan Shoup, whom God brought in to bless our lives at the Bolden’s RV Park almost 2 months prior. Dad was excited ... bottle rockets are illegal in Kansas but not in Tennessee!! Watching my sons (& husband) launch these brought back the stories of my brothers (when they were little) who probably are solely responsible for bottle rockets being outlawed in Kansas! I often wonder why I even waste the time to worry … I know life is so much better when I give Him full control!

July 4th

We have arrived and set up camp at Nashville Country RV Park outside of Nashville for this 4th of July weekend. The dogs loved their pet playground area. Now to make the most of our few days here. Randy met a friend & went out for a Dad’s night out tonight. I took the boys swimming after supper and we listened to a musician perform a live concert at our campground. Malachi got excited when the guy sang several songs he had heard on the radio. I think he thought the guy was the same one as we heard on the radio. Oh the simplicity of a child! Imagine his reaction when we got to watch the massive 25+ minute fireworks display in downtown Nashville! I don’t even know that I’ve even seen fireworks so spectacular! Made me really ponder what it was like for those that were fighting for our nation’s freedom all those years ago and for those that are fighting for our country’s continued freedom now. We are so blessed and loved by God. THANK YOU to all who have served and are serving for our freedom.

What a Welcome!

Wow! How faithful God is. After having such an emotional drive to Perry what a blessing it was to get pulled in to our spot and be welcomed immediately by my friend Suzanne and her daughter, my special Emma. It was hugs all around and then off to greet Mr. Tony & Cornbread, Mr. Charlie, Mr. Jay (who just drove in from VA), Uncle Freddie, Rob, and for the boys to get to see their friends, Chad, Jordan and Emma. What a nice welcome and sense of coming home to family. It was definitely what this heart needed … obviously God knows me best and loves me so. I’m so thankful He chose to end my day with laughter and love after the heart wrenching tears of the day. Now to be ready to head to out early in the morning … but He can do All things, even helping me get on the road again!

Purpose

Have you ever found yourself wondering what God’s purpose for your life is at the moment you are living? Today has been an emotional day for me. We are leaving the Whispering Pines Campground heading to Perry for the night. As always God has brought some wonderful people into our lives. One in particular is a beautiful young 9 yo girl that has totally wrapped her arms around each of our hearts. She’s been given a tough challenge to develop her but obviously God has great things in store for this precious child of His. Her mom passed on a short time ago and she was the one to find her. That’s a hard thing for an adult little lone one so young and it’s hard for this mom’s heart to comprehend. I am heavy hearted trying to figure out what God’s purpose for our family is in her life. We all just wanted to pack her up and take her with us. The boys even begged to go with her family home to Mississippi if she couldn’t come with us. It has definitely made me more aware of my time that God is allowing me with the amazing sons He has given us. On the 3+ hour drive I cried almost 3 hours of prayerful tears releasing the emotions God has laid on my heart, asking what His will/purpose is for us in her life and asking if I’m doing all that God desires of me for my own sons that He has blessed us with. Am I making the most of the time I have with them and instilling in them a solid foundation. When it comes to my sons … I always feel I come up short and that I should always do more and appreciate them even more than I already do. I just can’t imagine my life without them and pray it’s not God’s will to be so. Oh the joys and woes of being a parent or at least a tender hearted human. I’m stand in awe that God experiences these feelings in magnitude with all of us He has created.
